December, 2018, British Columbia, Canada. Juan Navarro, CMX Partnerships Director and Principal researcher, was recently chosen by the APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC) to conduct one of their most important research projects for 2019. This international research project aims to analyze six of the most important Next Generation Trade and Investments Issues (NGeTI) in the context of Free Trade Agreements (FTAs), which might contribute to deeper regional integration, sustained economic growth and rising living standards for all in the Asia-Pacific region.
As part of this research project, a delegation of ABAC visited Canada to carry out a working meeting with Mr. Navarro; this meeting was hosted by Royal Roads University. The business delegation was led by Mr. MotomuTakahashi who is Co-Chair of the Regional Economic Integration Working Group in ABAC and Counselor in Mitsui & Co., Ltd.
ABAC was created by the APEC Economic Leaders in November 1995 to provide advice on the implementation of the Osaka Action Agenda and on other specific business sector priorities, and to respond when the various APEC fora request information about business-related issues.
