The CPTPP Policy Forum on Inclusive Trade
The CPTPP Policy Forum on Inclusive Trade

Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. On Wednesday, Nov 27th, global experts, scholars, and leaders gathered for a powerful discussion on the future of the CPTPP agreement and its role in promoting inclusive trade in the digital age. Our president, Juan Salvador Navarro Estrada, was honoured to participate in this insightful dialogue on leveraging digital technologies like AI for the benefit of all members.
Key Highlights:
❇️ Reinforcing the CPTPP’s Role: The CPTPP is a key framework for tackling today’s global economic challenges, fostering prosperity, and enhancing well-being across the region.
❇️ Promoting Inclusion: Increasing inclusion for underrepresented groups – such as SMEs, women, and Indigenous entrepreneurs – by providing the information, training, tools, and support necessary to integrate them into CPTPP supply chains must be a priority.
❇️ Encouraging Collaboration & Experience Sharing: Fostering further levels of collaboration and facilitating the exchange of successful business experiences and practices among authorities, entrepreneurs, and stakeholders is both valuable and necessary.
❇️ Strengthening E-Commerce: Developing stronger regulations on e-commerce, including robust data governance and the responsible integration of AI, is a responsibility that must be addressed collaboratively.
❇️ Upholding Ethical Standards: Technological advancements, particularly AI, must be designed to benefit all members of society, while ensuring that well-being, human rights, and ethics are protected.
As we move forward, listening to all voices and encouraging innovation will be essential to keep the agreement comprehensive, progressive, and relevant. The future of CPTPP is bright, and we’re excited to see how it evolves!
