British Columbia, Canada – March 28, 2023 – CMX Partnerships successfully hosted the Canada-Mexico Webinar on March 24, bringing together business leaders, government officials, and entrepreneurs from both nations to discuss opportunities and challenges in investing and conducting business between Canada and Mexico.
The virtual event featured a lineup of distinguished speakers who provided valuable insights and expertise on doing business in Canada and Mexico. Among the notable speakers were Jaqueline Marquez, Minister Representative for Trade and Investment in the office of the Mexican Ministry of Economy in Canada; Enrique Zorilla, President of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Mexico (CanChamMx); Jorge A. Rave, Chief Representative in Mexico of Export Development Canada; Anita Huberman, President and CEO at Surrey Board of Trade; Ruben Lugo, Senior Investment Officer at the Embassy of Canada in Mexico; Rahim Bhaloo, Founder and Executive Chairman of JOI Canadian Stores; and Andres Friedman, Co-Founder & CEO at Solfium. CMX Partnerships Director, Juan Navarro served as a host and moderated the different sessions of this international event.
During this four-hour webinar, the speakers shared their analyses, experiences and insights on investments, trade and doing business in Mexico and Canada. They also discussed the Canada-Mexico Partnership and its ongoing development. The Canada-Mexico Webinar proved to be a valuable platform for promoting cooperation and sharing business initiatives and strategies to strengthen the bilateral relationship between Canada and Mexico. The event saw a high level of engagement and participation from private and public sector leaders from both countries, as well as from beyond the borders.
Overall, the event was a resounding success, with ideas and strategies resonating with attendees and participants alike.
